Essentially, you can build a list of items that you want protected by Vault, and then, when you go to a vendor, even if you right-click to sell, the mod will prevent you from selling it and tell you. It actually does prevent you, too. This isn't a buyback thing, the item will not leave your bags no matter how much you right-click.
